South Elgin Fire responded to a call this afternoon when someone reported a powdery substance in an envelope.

Let this be a lesson. Don't bake Christmas cookies and do your Christmas cards at the same time. ;-)

The substance was a common baking material, and unknown if it was intentional or not.
